Easy access from a pedestrianised river path, the 400 year old cottage is narrow in width although has a very proportioned layout in four storeys, with wooden floorboards fitted throughout. It is full of character, allowing plenty of light, privacy and comfort. The top floor is the master bedroom with one double bed and a cot; The first floor has the living room equipped with Smart TV, Apple TV, and bathroom with a separate toilet; The ground floor has the dining area and a small but mighty, fully-equiped kitchen, connected with the rear garden; The lower ground floor has the second bedroom with its own private bathroom, a small office ideal for home working and the utilities room. All levels, except the lower ground, have generous and pleasant views of the river Thames and the Hammersmith bridge. This is definitely a property with a distinguished character, and an experience not to be missed, completely different from traditional accommodation you'd find in London. It is centrally located, bordering the Thames, which makes it ideal for those who loves a riverside walk or run, either way to Barnes or Richmond to the south, Chiswick or Kew to the west, Fulham or Putney to the east, all with stunning views throughout, and the busy Hammersmith Broadway shopping and business hub a short walk away. The house is surrounded by some of the best green areas and riverside pubs in London, and yet preserves its residential atmosphere. Note that, as it is an old residence, the staircase may be a bit steep for those with some mobility difficulties, especially to the upper floors, which does not have handrail. The staircase leading to the lower ground floor has it. Therefore we don’t encourage children under 5 to stay in the upper room unless permanently supervised.

The river Thames at its best. Plenty of green spaces (Ravenscourt Park, Putney, Richmond Park, Kew Gardens, Chiswick House, WWT’s London Wetland Centre) in both banks of the river, the vibe of the nearby pubs and the rowing clubs. Ideal for family walks, exercise and outdoor activities. Hammersmith Broadway is extremely well connected via underground (District, Piccadilly, Metropolitan and Circle lines) and bus lines. The local business area is home to companies' headquarters in London such as Coca-Cola, General Electric, Walt Disney Co, L'Oreal, Harrod's, Pernord Ricard and WeWork, to name a few. The biggest shopping mall in London, Westfield White City, is only 30-40 minutes walk away. The newly built Riverside Studios with theatre, cinemas, art galleries, café and brasserie is just a stone’s throw away, and a few yards further east, the landmark Michelin-star restaurant the River Café. The famous Olympic studios, recording venue of artists such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Madonna, among others, turned into a cinema, café and restaurant in Barnes, just 15 minutes walking. The elegant Chiswick High Street, with vast options of exceptional gastropubs, shops, healthy eateries, cafés and restaurants, and even the Fuller’s Brewery, flanking the Thames banks, only 20-30 minutes away.

Amazing location in a car-free river path overlooking the river Thames, yet well connected by public transport. Some of the best parks and riverside pubs in London are within a short walk. A small and cosy back garden with a dining table makes an ideal spot for a drink or reading a book, and has an independent entrance connected with the kitchen. Note that: Guest points exchangers only: we kindly ask an exit cleaning fee of £45 in London or €40 in Palermo. For the autumn-winter of 2022 and spring-2023, we are NOT looking for exchanges outside the UK. For the summer of 2023 we are ONLY looking for simultaneous exchanges from Andaluzia preferably Costa del Sol (between Marbella Malaga). The availability of the flat in Palermo will be updated soon.
