Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
The flat is my bolt hole, a calm and peaceful wee place only 5 minutes leisurely stroll from the seaside. You can even catch a glimpse of the sea from the kitchen window. This is a second floor attic flat in a traditional Scottish sandstone tenement built in 1905.
Since buying the flat in summer 2019 I have upgraded the heating system, replaced the bathroom and windows, and am continuing to redecorate. The living room and bedroom are very bright as they are south-facing, with views over the town to the hills beyond. From the kitchen there are views looking north up Brisbane Glen.
The flat is comfortably furnished to create a cosy and comfortable place to relax, and I’m pleased to have the chance to share it with others.
Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Largs retains its atmosphere as a Firth of Clyde seaside resort where you can enjoy ice cream, a fish tea, or cakes at the long established Nardini’s Cafe, or try one of the many other eateries. Stroll along the promenade, take the 10 minute ferry journey to the Island of Great Cumbrae, or enjoy the views across the Firth of Clyde from the hillside walks around the town. Kelburn Castle and Country Estate is a popular visitor attraction to the south of the town. From nearby Ardrossan and Wemyss Bay you can take a ferry to the islands of Arran and Bute.
Also within a short distance of Largs are West Kilbride Craft Town, and at the sea edge, Portencross Castle.
Largs is a good base for exploring Ayrshire, Inverclyde and beyond, with the city of Glasgow very accessible by train, bus or car.
Le mot de la fin
The flat might not be suitable if you are allergic to cats as my cats are there occasionally, and it’s not possible to remove all cat hairs.
