Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

Our holiday house is situated in the centre of Beaulieu and consists of two 19th century town houses that we renovated during the previous years and that turned into 1 quirky big but still very cosy accommodation. We spend our summers here while enjoying the vibrant town, French gastronomy, the Dordogne river and riverside fun (5 minute walk from the house!), great excursions and the splendid nature. The house is nice, sunny, spacious but basic - please do not expect great luxury! But the beds are good, bathrooms all renovated, the massive kitchen space is very user friendly and offers all facilities; the sleeping rooms are spacious and fresh. So everything you need for a good French holiday is there, including floatable river toys, bikes, etc. We normally stay her with the 4 of us, sometimes accommodating visiting friends. The house can easily absorb a big family, plenty of beds around. In the garage, there is a full camping equipment (incl two 2/3p tents) available, so you can also go out camping for a night on one of the nearby riverside campings; we consider this a very nice asset, ideal for a quick change of scenery (or in case of heatwaves, when the town can get quite hot - like in summer 2022).

Beaulieu sur Dordogne rightfully has the label of one of the most beautiful villages in France. Its position on the Dordogne riverbank is unique. But there is much more than just the river fun to enjoy. The town has plenty of restaurants and sight seeing assets like its impressive medieval church and alleys. Walking or cycling in the surrounding is a delight also. From the town, unique tourisme sites are within reach - cascades, caves (eg Padirac), pittoresque villages (Rocamadour, Collonges-la-Rouge), etc.

Since this is a holiday house, we are open for non-simultaneous swaps. We also sometimes allow people to use the house without swapping, if it is not used by friends or family, in case we ask for a modest financial compensation.
