Our home is in a lovely community in East Vancouver. We renovated the house in 2021, so the home is close to brand new, with new appliances and smart electronics. The house has a large backyard, BBQ, fire pit, gardens, and a garage. We are avid gardeners, so the property has fruit trees (Apple, Peach, Cherry, Persimmon), blue berries, raspberries, strawberries, many flowers, and a large veggie garden for fresh food. We are very close to public transportation and only 3 stops from downtown on the skytrain which is a 7 minute walk from the house. We are 15 minutes from the airport by car. There is a wine bar, pub, restaurants and cafes a few minutes walk from the house.
We are located 1.5 hours from Whistler, and 2 hours from Seattle. Victoria and Vancouver Island are a ferry ride away. The Okanagan (BC's desert and wine region) is a 45 minute flight or 4 hour drive.

We live in the vibrant Commercial Drive neighbourhood of Vancouver. This neighbourhood has a close community feel and great neighbours. A culturally rich and authentic area, Commercial Drive - also known as The Drive - is one of the best and most colourful shopping, dining and nightlife districts you will find in the city; and boasts home to Vancouver’s own 8 block officially designated Little Italy, representing more than 60 years of Italian heritage. Day or evening, The Drive offers 22 full blocks to explore with over 300 distinct merchants, including quaint boutiques, an eclectic collection of restaurants, a vibrant live music and bar scene, dinner and dancing, theatres, coffee houses, specialty food stores and bakeries. A one of a kind experience. We are also just north of Little Saigon with many amazing Vietnamese and Asian restaurants and shops.
Trout Lake is a urban lake located in John Hendry Park which is is 27.3 hectares (67.5 acres) and 5 minute's walk from the house. There are public washrooms, a concession stand and a small sandy beach. Barbecues are permitted in the area, and in the summer, there is a swimming raft in the water. Trout lake has the city's largest and most interesting farmer's market with food trucks. Trout Lake Community Centre, located 5 minutes away, offers programs for all ages and abilities.
