Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

We have a lovely 3 bedroom house with a view of the mountains, 15 minutes outside of Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon Territory, Canada. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a small ensuite. There are two other bedrooms one with a queen and one with a double bed. Downstairs is the open concept kitchen, living room, and dining area with a full bathroom. It will sleep 6 comfortably. We live here year round so it has all the modern conveniences you might need. ie. modern, well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, espresso maker, smart TV, , computer, BBQ and terrace furniture. There is a beautiful balcony overlooking the mountains on which many meals may be had. You can watch the sun set over the mountains here (if you can stay up long enough: about midnight in July) . We have a sauna, hot tub, and lots of skis, bikes, a trampoline, a canoe, and other sports equipment. If you have kids, they will love the tree fort and the zipline. There is a small garden and lots of wildflowers on the property. Our son and his partner live on the property in a tiny house, which is helpful in case you need anything.

Hiking/ski trails are adjacent to our 2.5 acre property and we are 5 minutes by car to thermal hot springs, creperie, coffee roaster/café and the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. You can walk to the Yukon River. . . the same river which eventually empties many hundreds of miles later, out into the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska. A car is necessary as we are 15 minutes from downtown Whitehorse. Whitehorse is a small city of approx. 25, 000 people. Some are remnants of the 1898 Klondike gold rush often referred to as the colorfull 5%of humanity. There is a thriving Indigenous culture reflected in many aspects and activities of this city and its surroundings. Our location is 1. 5 hours from the Alaskan coast and 1 hour from the spectacular Kluane National Park. In summer time, the sun only sets for a few hours and the average temperature is 22 C. The topography of the country is mainly mountains, lakes, rivers and trees in a semi-arid type of climate. A drive south about 1 hr will have you in northern British Columbia. The city boasts an international airport with flights from Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Alaska and Germany. Access to Whitehorse would be fly, drive or boat. There are direct flights from Frankfurt in the summer time.
