Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

We are interested in visiting San Francisco or other location in California june 2023. We would prefer reciprocal (simultaneous/non simultaneous). but open to Guest Points also. We have no availability for July or August as we let the house commercially at that time. We are also interested in other locations Seattle, or anywhere that looks interesting. We may have to add in a charge for cleaning for Guest Point exchanges of 120 euros. This is a well loved recently refurbished second home in the Western Algarve, a beautiful location close to the tourist and surfing hot spots but located in a tranquil whitewashed charming village 2 miles inland. We are located close to Burgau, a charming fishing village with some excellent restuarants. Praia Da Luz is close by also with some lovely sea front restuarants. We are close also to the very cool and lively town of Lagos, there is a regular fast bus which will get you into town in 15 minutes if you would like to dip your toe into a more lively night life. Burgau and Praia Da Luz are 10 minutes in the car, and also accessible by bus. There are several excellent bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance and a village shop for supplies. The house size 154 square metres, overall plot size 350 square metres. There is a large private outside terrace at the back of the villa with 7m x 4m spacious pool, with plants and 6 sun beds. There is a dining table and chairs seating up to 8 people on the lower patio and a barbecue. There orange and lemon trees at front of house. We have a very modern well equipped kitchen, WIFI (of course) and a smart TV with a variety of European and English TV channels.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier

Very tranquil and peaceful location in the heart of a charming village with bars and restaurants and a good bus service. The village is very centrally located for many amenities. There is lots going on locally and after a busy day at the beach or a night out in Lagos, it is always lovely to return to the tranquillity of the village and the villa. There are many beautiful beaches nearbye, as well as Burgau Praia Da Luz and Lagos, there are other beautiful beaches not far along the coast to Sagres, Salema, Figuera, Boco Do Rio are all worth a visit. We are fortunate also to be only a short drive from the Atlantic Coast where you will find many popular surfing beaches. In spring and Autumn we do a lot of walking, along the cliff tops, or inland to local villages. If you like walking you may enjoy the Rota Vincenta and walk along the coast to Odeceite or Odemira. Locally there is plenty to do:- - Almádena village has some bars/resturants/cafes and a shop. For a generous family meal in the village, the must go restaurant is Brodie's - Praia da Luz is a popular family beach resort with all the facilities you would expect and excellent restaurants. - Burgau is a pretty but small beach resort with a fishing past, plenty of bars and several good quality restaurants. We love to dine at the Burgau Beach Bar (but make sure you book well in advance). - Lagos is a charming and vibrant town with excellent tourist facilities, historic buildings, famously scenic beaches (e.g Dona Ana), trendy bars, clubs and is easily accessible by bus. For later evenings out, reasonably priced taxis are easily available from the town's taxi rank for the return trip. - The village bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the house with a regular, reliable service to Lagos (fare 2 Euros). Burgau and Praia da Luz are also served by local buses from the village. Timetables always available online - There is more than one waterpark within a drivable distance for the odd family trip. We suggest Slide 'n Splash (20-25 mins drive) Other things to do include:- - Visit the historic and attractive Moorish town of Silves - Visit the world class surfing beaches in Sagres and the west coast (try Praia do Amado) within 30 mins drive. - Several golf resorts and a few water parks & sports centres within easy reach. - Wide range of other activities available to holiday makers in the area (boat trips, fishing, dolphin watching, kayaking, horse riding/trekking, scuba diving, tennis etc). - Lovely spring walks along the coast and in the Algarve hinterlands.

Le mot de la fin

We are mainly interested this year (2023) in non Shengen countries i.e not most of Europe. The house is let our for holiday rentals in July and August and not available on these datess. We have excellent reviews on VRBO and last year also on AIRBNB. This is a beutiful sunny house fully equipped for 8 people with 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and 2 bedrooms with double beds, well equipped kitchen, WIFI, TV and private pool.
