A roomy and bright, recently renovated 2 bedroom apartment available in Setubal. Close to restaurants, cafes, and shops, this is an ideal location to explore the city. A 20 min (1.5km) walk to the ferry to Troia, the express bus to lisbon, or Praca do Bocage, and an easy bike ride through the flat streets. Within a few blocks you have access to supermarkets, tons of restaurants, pharmacies and neighborhood stores.. Our place also comes with one parking space in the building’s garage if you would prefer to see the city by car. The apartment is equipped with an air conditioner that also acts as a dehumidifier and heater for the winter months. There is a well equipped kitchen with a sweet little balcony off of it to experience a lovely morning with coffee and a pastry from the highly rated cafe downstairs Speaking of stairs, this is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. However, the climb is made easier by a wide staircase and low rise, well maintained steps. 52 steps from the lobby to our floor. The windows are doubled glazed with black out shutters and they face east and west for excellent sun exposure We named this place "O Navegante" or "The Navigator", not only because it is on Henry the Navigator Avenue, but also because we hope to make this a refuge for people who are exploring Portugal and its many charms. We use this as our Portuguese home for a few weeks a year and are happy to rent it out other times. We've made it modern, comfortable and welcoming for all travelers!

The apartment is in Setubal, a 30 minute drive south of Lisbon or a 45 minute express bus ride We are a 20 minute walk north of the riverfront, east of Praca de Bocage and south of Alegro Shopping district. This is a bustling local neighborhood that remains calm and quiet at night. Walkable to most sites, but we also have a small underground parking space for one car.
